Manchester City's winger Raheem Sterling is open to a loan move in January. A prospective loan move for Sterling piqued the interest of several clubs. The attacker is also hoping to keep his place in England's World Cup squad under Gareth Southgate.

The 26-year-old English winger has only made seven appearances for Manchester City in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League this season. Sterling has four goals and one assist to his credit.

Sterling has started the previous four games for Manchester City and has two goals and an assist to show for it. Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, recently stated that the former Liverpool winger is an important part of his team. He expressed his delight at Sterling's return to form.

After previously playing for Liverpool, Sterling now appears to be open to making Arsenal his third English club.

In the summer, Raheem Sterling was said to be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur. He was a prospective trade partner for England striker Harry Kane. On the other hand, Guardiola was famed for failing to land his man, and the Sky Blues were connected with a late bid for a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.

With Raheem Sterling, City has a plethora of wingers vying for playing time. They signed Aston Villa's Jack Grealish for a British record fee of £100 million in the summer. Apart from Grealish, they have Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, and Phil Foden, all of whom can play on either wing.

Due to injuries to important attackers in recent weeks, he has been rewarded with a good run of form. He will, however, keep one eye on Gareth Southgate's England starting eleven. He also has some competitors in the area.

While a return to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool has been mentioned, numerous other teams, including Arsenal, are thought to be interested. Sterling was reportedly adamant about rejecting moving to Tottenham. He will, however, consider relocating to North London's red zone. Mikel Arteta worked with Sterling at Manchester City earlier and is a fan of the winger.

Sterling's current weekly salary is $300,000, and his contract continues until the end of 2023. His passion for playing for his country in the World Cup appears to be a significant deciding factor in his immediate future.
