BCCI explores options for staging the Indian Premier League (IPL) reminder in the UAE during the September and October window. The 14th edition of the IPL came to a halt on May 04 due to increased bio-bubble cases, prompting the BCCI to postpone it.

According to reports, BCCI interim CEO Hemang Amin has devised two plans to hold the remaining 31 matches in either England or the United Arab Emirates. However, Amin stated in the plan that he is more interested in resuming the IPL in the UAE due to its massive success last year, which pleased all stakeholders.

After their Special General Meeting (SGM) on May 29, the BCCI is expected to make an official announcement. ACCORDING TO THE TIMES OF INDIA, the IPL is scheduled to resume in the third week of September, following India's tour of England, which ends on September 14, according to the Times of India.

The BCCI is also expected to wrap up the high-profile tournament in early October, as the ICC T20 World Cup is set to start that month. The fact that the IPL will resume in September-October is terrible news for Australian players, who have a busy schedule ahead of the T20 World Cup.

First and foremost, the Men in Yellow will travel to the Caribbean islands to face the West Indies in a five-match T20I series. A number of their players are already unable to travel due to bio-bubble fatigue and other personal issues. The 23-man squad is missing three players: Pat Cummins, David Warner, and Daniel Sams.

The IPL-bound players After the IPL was suspended due to their government closing the borders. The Australian players had to go through a lot. After quarantining themselves for a week in the Maldives, the players, support staff, and broadcasters of nearly 40 people arrived in Sydney on a charter flight arranged by the Indian authorities.

Bangladesh's chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Akram Khan, has confirmed that Australia will tour Bangladesh. In August, the two teams will play five Twenty20 Internationals. With such a full schedule, it appears unlikely that the Australian players would feature in the remaining matches of the IPL 2021.
