Team India is working hard in preparation for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, which begins on June 18 and will be played against New Zealand. Over the last several days, the 25-man squad played an intra-squad practice game to familiarize themselves with the conditions. However, many believe New Zealand has an advantage because they play England in a complete two-match Test series before the summit battle.

On the other hand, Indian players are fresh after their rest and have had sufficient time to acclimate to the conditions in England. Returning to the intrasquad game, BCCI provided highlights from the second day of the warm-up, just as they did on Saturday.

KL Rahul hammered a straight six off Ravindra Jadeja while walking down the track, according to the footage. Avesh Khan delivered challenging lines to India's best batsmen, but Cheteshwar Pujara, the team's rock, hit the off-stump with a couple of close deliveries.

In the middle, it appeared like Rohit Sharma, and Mayank Agarwal spent some time together. They opened the innings together for India not long ago, even though the latter was benched during the Australia tour. Shubman Gill took his place at the head of the order and has been the chosen opener ever since. And in the warm-up, Gill may have cemented his spot by scoring 85 runs off 135 deliveries.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant's excellent batting from Day 1 continued with an aggressive century. He scored 121 off 94 deliveries to remain unbeaten, and his form bodes well for India in the final. Ishant Sharma, India's ace pacer, was also one of the top bowlers on the second day, returning with statistics of 3/36.

Wriddhiman Saha, the reserve wicketkeeper, also played well with the bat. He was spotted hitting a great pull shot off Shardul Thakur that went for the win. The lower-order batting in the intra-squad warm-up game was also intriguing. Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj batted together, and the lower-order batsmen will be critical in scoring runs in the final.
