Getafe president warned LaLiga and Barcelona in Lionel Messi departure

According to Getafe president Angel Torres, Barcelona has been advised not to allow Lionel Messi to go this summer. Messi's departure, according to Torres, would be a significant loss for La Liga and its teams.

After his contract terminated at the end of last season, Messi became a free agent. The Argentine has allegedly agreed to a new contract, but Barcelona must decrease its pay expenditure before signing it.

Meanwhile, Angel Torres wishes for the Argentine star to retire in Spain.

LaLiga president Javier Tebas has already stated that the club will not bend the rules to help Barcelona sign Lionel Messi. Tebas wants the club to lower its pay bill before granting him a new contract.

Barcelona has signed Eric Garcia, Sergio Aguero, and Memphis Depay this summer, but they will not be permitted to play until their salary bill falls below LaLiga's quota.
