The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will begin its ninth season on August 26, 2021, in St. Kitts and Nevis. And, ahead of the main event, most of the players and support staff have already arrived in St. Kitts and Nevis.

A total of 255 persons have arrived in St. Nevis & Kitts, and all of them were subjected to a complete Covid-19 testing process upon arrival, with two people testing positive. A contact testing process was started right away, but no more Covid-19 cases have been found.

In addition, the two people who tested positive for Covid-19 are being held in isolation as per the tournament's procedures and guidelines.

In addition, Michael Hall, the Tournament Operations Director for the CPL 2021 edition, noted that the two positive Covid-19 cases were found quickly upon arrival, and the tournament bubble remained intact. Hall continued by saying that the CPL committee is looking forward to seeing cricket action from August 26, 2021, despite the lack of broader exposure.

The CPL 2021 will begin on August 26, 2021, and end on September 15, 2021. There will be no viewers allowed at the competition, and all of the matches will be held in Warner Park in St. Kitts.

The Trinbago Knight Riders are the current defending champions of the competition. In the final match of the 2020 edition of the tournament, the Knight Riders smashed the St.Lucia Zouks by 8 wickets to win the title.

The Trinbago Knight Riders have won the Caribbean Premier League the most times. They've won the CPL on four occasions. The Barbados Royals and the Jamaica Tallawahs have both won the tournament twice.
