Afghanistan will play Australia in a one-off Test starting November 27 in Hobart. Due to COVID-19, this historic Test match, which was intended to last season, has already encountered numerous roadblocks. This time, though, the problem involves the Hazara community. Premier Peter Gutwein of Tasmania is concerned about the match in the future as planned and has expressed his worries.

Afghanistan is currently experiencing tensions as a result of the Taliban's ascension to power earlier this month. As a result, the squad's three-match One-Day International series against Pakistan was postponed, leaving the cricket team with no game time.

Although the Taliban has stated that it will not interfere with the men's cricket squad, Cricket Australia's chief executive, Nick Hockley, believes hosting the match would be extremely difficult.

Hockley also intends to set up a meeting with Gutwein to discuss the one-off Test.

Hockley went on to say that the Taliban has not promised the same for women's cricket in Afghanistan and that under ICC rules and regulations, member nations must sponsor both men's and women's teams equally.

Earlier this week, a piece of news surfaced about ACB's plans to host a T20I tri-series between the West Indies and Australia ahead of the T20 World Cup.
